PREVIEWING/TRYING HORSES

SOLO SELECT HORSES:

All horses that are located in Whitesboro, TX are not available to ride before the sale. We will allow the public to view (not ride) horses on the DAY OF THE SALE during the open house hours stated on the first lot of the saleWe understand some buyers do not want to purchase a horse without riding it first. We respect the decision and encourage them to shop with private sellers who can be more accommodating to their preferences.

CONSIGNMENT HORSES (NOT located in Whitesboro, TX at Solo Select):

If a horse is a consignment horse, you may feel free to contact the consignor regarding viewing/riding their horse before the sale. We do not personally know the consignment horses that are not at our place, so we encourage you to call those consignors and go see those horses if possible.

PREPURCHASE EXAMS

We encourage all buyers to have the veterinarian of your choice examine any horse you are interested in. The Pre-Purchase Exam must be done PRIOR TO THE END OF THE SALE. You may call the office to schedule a time to have horses examined by a veterinarian. You cannot perform any Pre-Purchase Exams after the close of the auction. All horses are sold AS IS, WHERE IS with ALL existing conditions and defects. There are no guarantees, express or implied, on any horses. Veterinarian statements are provided but are NOT MEANT TO BE A REPLACEMENT FOR A PRE-PURCHASE EXAM. Radiographs are provided on riding horses, but findings are NOT READ in the veterinarian statement. It is highly recommended that a buyer do all due diligence prior to sale time, including, but not limited to: Pre-Purchase Exams, exams to verify breeding soundness, having a licensed veterinarian read radiographs, and any/all other due diligence a buyer desires. All radiographs and information inside the dropbox are NO LONGER AVAILABLE to the public after the lot closes. NO EXCEPTIONS.

HELPFUL HINTS ABOUT BIDDING in the Internet Auction
Please read the information below to give yourself the best chance of being the successful bidder at the end of the auction!

PLACING A BID
-Click on the “Bid” button for the horse that interests you.

Next Bid is … indicates what the next bid needs to be in order to get IN. Bidding is set in increment amounts.
If two bidders bid at the same time, the first bid that reaches the internet auction computer will be given the amount - the second bidder will be asked to bid the next available amount.
Click only once to place a bid, Your bid will be visible the next time your page refreshes.

MAX BID OR AUTOMATIC BID
* With Automatic bidding you can enter your maximum bid, then sit back and watch. When you set a Max Bid the auction software automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid. If the lot ends for less than your maximum, that's all you have to pay. You won't have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed. Your maximum is kept confidential from other bidders.
The system will only bid up to your maximum amount as necessary to maintain you as the high bidder. If another bidder has a higher maximum, you'll be outbid. But, if no other bidder has a higher maximum, you win the lot.
PLEASE Review your Bid BEFORE you click the BID button.
Using the single Bid button will not be as quick as using the Automatic Bid.

Due to slow internet connections, we cannot guarantee last second bids will get through every time, so please don't hesitate when bidding one bid at a time. We suggest utilizing the automatic/max bid button to ensure your bids are accepted.

LOT CLOSE TIME(S)/EXTENDED BIDDING

Each lot will close TWO MINUTES after the lot preceding it.

For example:

Lot 100 - closes at 1:00 pm

Lot 101 - closes at 1:02 pm

Lot 102 - closes at 1:04 pm

Lot 103 - closes at 1:06 pm

...and so on - HOWEVER, if bidding is active during the last 3 minutes of the lot -  the system will go into EXTENDED BIDDING, and additional time will be added to the clock to allow the under-bidder to respond. Bidding will not close until 2 minutes pass without a bid being placed. Watch the time clock under the picture of the horse to determine how much time remains.

BID INCREMENTS

Bid Increments automatically increase as the price increases - see below!
